Bratlie was historically known to skiers as a maker of traditional tar-based waxes, so this last line from the boys (and women) in the basement was a change. In reality by this point the family that owned Bratlie had sold to Swix, who at the time had decided that there was only room in the world for one Norwegian wax maker. For the last act, the tar-based waxes were gone, and Bratlie offered a Swix-like lineup based on color. The new design on the packaging came from Lillehammer, and despite my love of tradition, I will admit that it's pretty attractive.
