Really, you only need a couple of waxes to cross country ski, and one of them is Bratlie blue klister. Sure, it hasn't been available for 40 years - Bratlie was purchased by Swix, who retired the brand. Can't find any Bratlie blue klister near you? Well, be patient - our anecdotal research has shown that there is still enough of it in Norway to last centuries. Not just good for ski waxing, Bratlie blue klister has been used to secure dentures in place, repair shoes, and even as toothpaste in a pinch.

OK, that's all BS. but Bratlie wax really is cool; it its heydey it was the biggest Norwegian ski wax brand that wasn't originally Swedish (Swix) or started by a Nazi (Østbye). And it really does work well; Skifabrikk employees still use it on a regular basis.
